Mark and Carolyn Uher started Mara Valley Produce in 2015 after apprenticing under Rob and Kathryn Hettler’s organic farm Pilgrim’s Produce in Armstrong.
Mark has been tending vegetable crops since childhood, growing up on a farm in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. He inherited his green thumb and strong work ethic from his grandparents, who farmed vegetables for their livelihood. Following graduation from the University of Guelph agriculture program he brought his passion for farming to British Columbia. Carolyn grew up in Vernon and shares a love for working outdoors and caring for plants.
Over the seasons our farm team has included several part-time and full-time employees. We are looking to expand in 2024.
